PCAA Fastpitch Softball is a family-focused organization proud to offer recreational play for girls aged 5-18. Our goal is provide an environment for girls to participate and learn the fundamentals of organized fastpitch softball while also enjoying the camaraderie of playing on a team. We play ASA and NC High School rules with modifications for younger ages with two softball seasons during the year, spring and fall.
Our softball teams play under the umbrella of Char-Meck Girls Softball, which includes local associations across South Charlotte including Myers Park, Dilworth, South Charlotte, Weddington, Waxhaw, Mint Hill, Porter Ridge, and Matthews. Game schedules typically include one weeknight game and one Saturday game during the season with the goal of minimizing travel distances during the week.
Our home softball fields are at Pineville Memorial Park and Jack Hughes Park with all practices taking place at one of these locations. At least half of our games are played at these parks with the remaining games being played at other associations across South Charlotte.
After completing registration, all softball players are required to attend an on-field evaluation with the goal of creating balanced rosters across all age groups. While all of our coaches are dedicated volunteers, we are committed to supporting and developing coaching talent including many former softball and baseball players. These extraordinary and dedicated individuals create a second-to-none experience for our girls both on and off the field. If you are interested in coaching or volunteering, please reach out to us here.
